Huge Unfurnished Room in Uptown Apt

Huge twelve by sixteen foot completely furnished and decorated room in gorgeous apartment in prewar elevator building, less than half an hour from midtown. High ceilings, picture frame molding and hardwood floors throughout. The historic Broadyke Apartments contains a laundry room, private courtyard entrance populated by lovely neighbors, a Starbucks, several restaurants and salons, and a subway entrance to the A express train. You would be sharing the apartment with me, a friendly and quiet native New Yorker in my thirties, one other roommate as yet undetermined (see my other listing if you prefer an unfurnished room!) and my even friendlier German shepherd Lila. Female and/or queer roommate preferred. Must be vegan/vegetarian or just willing to forgo cooking and reheating meat and eggs in the apartment. If you don't know Inwood, it's the best kept secret in New York. Beautiful tree lined streets full of art deco architecture, families on their way to the playgrounds and community gardens. Right across the street is the stunning Fort Tryon Park, where the Met's medieval collection is housed in The Cloisters, a twenty four hour grocery store, and the newest library in the city. Within a couple of blocks is Inwood Hill Park - the only place in Manhattan where you can hike through ancient forests, the Dyckman Farmhouse Museum, and a marina where you can sit on the dock and watch the Hudson. Nowhere else will you find the combination of convenience, amenities, proximity to transportation, beauty, art and nature, all while twenty minutes to Columbia or the UWS, under a half hour to midtown and just over a half hour to the West Village.
