We’re a gay couple, both , and each started our own business within the past year. Douglas is a longtime Charlotte native, and Eric moved here from Louisiana about ten years ago. We share the home with our pets—a black lab mix named Appa and a shorthair cat named Diamond. Appa free-roams but usually stays near us. Diamond has his own room upstairs and roams only when Appa is away. Both are friendly, socialized, and fully our responsibility.

We’re quiet, easygoing, into good food, and work most days. Evenings are usually spent cooking and winding down with a show. We’re -friendly (outdoor use only), and we value a calm, respectful home with open communication.

We’re renting out a private, fully furnished bedroom and bathroom on the first floor. The room includes a bedframe, mattress, desk, and wardrobe. You’ll also have access to the shared kitchen and living area on the same floor. We live upstairs with the laundry area (full-size washer/dryer), our bedroom, and the cat’s room. The downstairs will mostly be your space—we only use it occasionally to cook or let the dog out.

Rent is $/month flat, all-inclusive: furniture, Wi-Fi, parking, power, water, and trash. No extra fees.

We’re hoping to start renting in June and are flexible on move-in timing. We’ll prorate rent based on your actual start date.

We’re looking for an LGBTQ+ or LGBTQ+ friendly roommate who works similar hours, is -friendly, and okay with pets. Most important is someone respectful, communicative, and a good fit for the space.
