Retired HCA seeking room

Hi I’m a yr old retired healthcare worker who spent my entire adult life raising my special-needs kids, and have just launched the youngest one from the nest into assisted-living and it’s time for me to live my dreams. My dream is to reside on Maui up to months of the year. I’m looking for a room in a low-key, friendly atmosphere that I can rent full-time, but only be they’re up to months of the year, where my room and my belongings will be locked up and safe when I’m not there. For the right apartment with legal lease, I can pay yearly fees upfront.. I have a very old cat that may or may not be with me during my visits. I plan to come for three months at a time in the off-season probably although I may switch that to months in a row depending on the year. I’m completely sober, quiet, excellent references, will not be having parties or many guests, mostly keep to myself, but I am friendly. I’m somewhat flexible on rent, but I’m hoping to keep it under two grand a month. I’ll need AC or at least a room. I can hook my own AC up in. I THINK I’ll orefer upcountry,, or from Paia to Hana but not sure yet. Thanks :)
