Description

I'm an active senior looking for a room to rent in Carlsbad, CA. I'd prefer unfurnished. I do have a car so I would need parking. I can move in September 1st through the 5th.

I'm a part-time Studio Art major at MiraCosta College and have a part-time job with the Athletic Dept on campus. My salary there varies from month to month depending on how many hours I work. My guaranteed income is from Social Security.

I'm friendly, pleasant, have a midwestern sense of humor, but I spend a lot of time in my room on my computers. I was a Software/Firmware (embedded) Engineer for almost years and make a good live-in tech support person. I'm handy around the house fixing and repairing things. I have a degree in Interior Design from Palomar College.

I listen to audiobooks all the time, like the beach, music, and am a foody. I do a fair amount of volunteering as a of the Carlsbad Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) and a CityStuff teacher in third grade classrooms, and volunteer to work at city events.

I am out of the home during the day quite often and spend quiet nights at home. If I feel like partying, I do it elsewhere, out somewhere or at a friend's place.

I can be adventurous and am flexible so housemate gender and age is not as important as who they are and if we hit it off. I have always liked living with others, beginning in high school where I went to boarding school.

I can help around the house and with other things if the housemate needs assistance with their home, medications, shopping, cooking, etc for a lower rent.
