Sublet in DC area

Hey all. I'm Locks and I'm looking for temporary accommodation in DC while visiting on a Fulbright fellowship from Tasmania, Australia. I'm and moving to DC in one week and staying through to early January next year. My area of research is Marine Ecology and Oceanography. Before this role I spent 7 years working as a penguinologist (yes, that's a real job 🐧).

I'd ideally love to move into a share house with similar aged people in a social community minded household, as I'm keen to make friends while visiting the US. I'm looking primarily around areas close to the Green Line for commuting to work. Keen on areas like Adams Morgan but I'm casting a wide .

Sublets would be ideal as given my shorter timeframe I'd prefer somewhere furnished. I'm a respectful and considerate housemate and a tidy person. But also quite relaxed and easy going and will probably make you lots of cups of tea. Back home in Tasmania I spend my time hiking, surfing and playing music.
