Small Biz Owner Seeking Room

Description

I’m currently staying with a good friend and her wonderful dog, which has been a perfect short-term landing pad. Now, I’m excited to find a more long-term home in Bellingham where I can put down roots. The nice part is that I have a flexible timeline and I can move with about two weeks' notice once I find the right place.

A BIT ABOUT ME: I have lived in Washington for over years now, having lived mostly around Seattle neighborhoods and the surrounding areas. While Bellingham is still new to me, I'm really enjoying exploring it and embracing that newness! I’m in the exciting process of launching my own small retail business downtown which is a big shift from my previous life working on sales teams for tech companies, which was a good job but not my true passion.

When I'm not at the storefront, I’ll often be working from my computer, which doubles as my portable office. The startup process has many moving parts so that's where most of my focus and time is going towards. Currently focusing on building out the store.

I know I’d thrive in a household that has:

A WARM, INCLUSIVE, AND ACCEPTING VIBE. I try to put that energy into a space too because it should be both ways. I'm not looking for one specific type of household, but any of these descriptors would be a great sign we might click: queer-friendly, artistically-minded, community-oriented, or sustainably-focused. I am genuinely accepting of all lifestyles and walks of life, and have always gelled well with people from diverse backgrounds, including those in polyamorous, kink, and other alternative communities. My main hope is to find kind, communicative, and respectful people.

A COLLECTIVE SPIRIT. I have a strong sense of responsibility for making a home pleasant and would rather be a part of the household than just a renter passing through. I have lived with roommates that never really integrated and everyone did they're own thing and while that works out, I'm looking for something more.
