About me
I own a new build -bedroom, 2-bathroom home in Linden, with a full unfinished basement (includes washer and dryer). I'm renting out a private bedroom, private bathroom, and private living space in the basement.
I'm looking for a tidy and considerate housemate who values a cozy and peaceful home environment. You're welcome to have friends over occasionally (about once a week is totally fine!) or a partner 2x/week. These two scenario boundaries may be more flexible as we get to know each other. Guests should be thoughtful with an easygoing energy.
The basement is clean, once my junk is removed ;), spacious, and has large egress windows (yes, the kind you can walk through!). You'll also have shared access to the main floor kitchen, living room, and an art studio space, the exception being my office workstation.
The bedroom can come furnished or unfurnished, depending on your needs, and you're welcome to decorate or paint the room to make it your own but let's discuss that first.
A little about me: I love making art, playing games, practicing self-care, spending time with friends, and participating/seeking out community events around town. I am equity-minded and try my best to unlearn harmful cultural norms and want the same for you. I also share my home with my sweet, friendly (to humans and occasionally to stray cats and some small dogs) -year-old rat terrier, who loves cuddles and naps.
It’s important to me that my home stays an open and welcoming space — you must be sex-positive, queer or queer-friendly, and comfortable in a home where everyone is treated with care and respect. I’m -friendly (outdoors only) and do like to keep a tidy home. Clutter makes me anxious and so an unvacuumed floor and sludge on the counters/stove. I would not be bothered by your mess in your bedroom and basement as long as it doesn't smell or create mold :D
