About me
Hey! I’m Yunes, , from Yemen. I’m about to start my first year studying Computer Science Engineering at Ghent University.
When I’m not hitting the books, you’ll usually find me catching a movie, hanging with friends, or out playing tennis or football. I like to keep a good balance—studying hard but also enjoying life when I can.
I’ve been living in shared spaces for years, so I know the deal. Back in high school, I shared apartments with my friends for two years, then after graduation, I moved to a different city and lived with other students while studying English. During my bachelor’s in Hungary, I stayed in a dorm for three years and met people from all over the world. It opened my eyes to different cultures and ways of living, and I really grew from it.
I love the idea of co-housing because it helps you feel connected and not so homesick, and when everyone’s got that student energy, it makes it easier to stay focused on studying. I know how to respect people’s space, but I’m also always down for a chat, a coffee break, or just hanging out.
My friends would describe me as chill and easygoing, but also focused when it’s time to study. During exams, I like to keep to myself and get serious about it, but otherwise, I’m open, friendly, and always up for meeting new people.
Looking forward to sharing a space with great vibes, where we can all live, learn, and make some good memories.
