About me
Hey there, my name’s Duy (like “Goodbye” in Dutch, Doei) and I’m a year old British guy (of Vietnamese Descent through my parents), and given that you’re gonna get inundated with , I’ll try and keep this short: Aside from the obligatory about me, some things I want to add are: I’m really chill (rustig) and sociable/charismatic (gezellig) and this is probably why I attract people and conversations from random strangers (and build connections this way); Although I am sociable, I veer towards more being an Introvert and although I love havign a meal together, going out for drinks and/or sharing hidden gems in corners of The Netherlands, I’m usually the person who has a quiet night in; Given that I was raised in an Asian Household, I feel that I’m emotionally intelligent and observant and can tell from the general vibe or mood when peeps need their ‘me’ time and am very big on respect and respecing boundaries; And finally, I’m a ‘giver’/‘feeder’, think of the guy who sees a beautiful loaf of bread, entire cake, or flowers at the local market and is like, that would look nice at my place, that’s me. Aside from the personality traits, I work full time as a freelance software engineer (typically away at some office) but I’ve also been building a business on the side and thus am often away doing some thing or another. Hobbies and interests include reading (predominately fiction, I’m currently reading Middlemarch by George Eliot, following an anti-climatic Murakami’s , ask me questions about it), board gaming, binging tv series and an indie film connosieur, gymming, sports and much much more. Let me know if we match and let’s have a chat, I’m preferably looking for a household rather than just a bedroom. Somewhere to be safe and share. P.S. I’m also gonna be exploring learning more Dutch and trying to go fully Dutch in preparation for my upcoming Dutch Citizenship Test (although I have yet to book it).
